On September 20th, the 3rd Global Geographical Indications Products Expo, hosted by the People's Government of Luzhou Province and organized by China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation European Union Working Committee, with strong support from the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and other key organizations, officially Inaugurated at the Luzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center.

The three-day Expo continues the theme of "Strengthening Geographical Indications Protection, Promoting High-Quality Industry Development," with Spain as the guest country of honor and Gulin County of Luzhou as the featured theme county. The event includes 11 major activities such as the Opening Ceremony of the Spanish National Pavilion, the opening ceremony of China-EU GI Pavilion, a supply and purchase match making event for Geographical Indications Products, e-commerce live-streaming events, and product selection activities. In addition, there will be 10 supporting events, including a series of activities hosted by the theme county，Gulin County, the Luzhou Longan Harvest Season, and a visit by renowned entrepreneurs to Luzhou.

During the Expo, ambassadors, delegations, and consular officials from over twenty countries, including Spain, France, and Madagascar, will gather to discuss cooperation and jointly explore new pathways for trade, investment promotion, and cultural exchange in geographical indications products between China and the rest of the world. Meanwhile, the organizers will collaborate with nearly 1,000 enterprises to create a "cloud-based" Expo for geographical indications products, enriching the "online" consumer experience and presenting a professional, exciting, distinctive, and innovative international event.
Both the number of participating enterprises and the products on display at this 3rd Geographical Indications Products Expo have reached record high.
