The "Century of Chunxi: Time Imprints" themed exhibition recently opened on the Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street in Jinjiang District, Chengdu. The exhibition, designed in a corridor style, showcases the history and transformation of Chunxi Road, divided into five thematic sections: "Century of Chunxi," "Dialect Alley," "Bustling Streets," "Strolling Through Chengdu Streets," and "Digital Popular Photo Spot."

According to the organizers, the exhibition draws on the Xinhua News Agency's extensive collection of historical photos and employs AI technology for restoration and interactive features. It vividly presents the prosperous commercial history of Chunxi Road and the evolution of the "city of happiness."
Visitors at the Exhibition
As visitors enter the "Century of Chunxi" section, they can observe the changes Chunxi Road has undergone over the past century. Next, they move into the "Dialect Alley" section, where a series of Chengdu dialect phrases like anyi (leisure), pahuo (harmony), and nao're (bustling) instantly immerse them in the atmosphere of old Chengdu life.
The "Bustling Streets" section uniquely recites Chunxi Road's 1960s shopfront of Zhong Dumplings and its first street signpost. These elements evoke vivid memories and impressions of Chunxi Road. The interactive displays are so engaging that visitors constantly reach for their phones to capture the moments.

The "Strolling Through Chengdu Streets" photo corridor features stories from Chengdu's streets since the reform and opening up era. Each photo captures the unique balance of slow and fast-paced life, the blending of tradition and modernity, and the fusion of cultural richness with everyday liveliness in Chengdu.
Finally, the " Digital Popular Photo Spot" uses AI technology to bring the exhibition's old photos to life. Visitors standing in front of the screen can experience the flow of a century passing before their eyes.
