On July 20,“Friendly Sichuan” Into Ireland, organized by the Sichuan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and assisted by the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Irish Fujian Business Association, was successfully Held in Dublin.

He Xiangdong, the Chinese Ambassador to Ireland; H.E. Lin Shucheng, Vice Chairman of Sichuan Committee of CPPCC; Mr. Denis Mullen, the former President of the Irish Chinese Cultural Society; Mr Martin Murray, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Asia Matters; Mr. Shane McMunn, Chairman of Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association Ireland, graced and addressed the opening ceremony. 

This activity includes three parts:the "Impressions of Tianfu" Photo Exhibition, the "Goods of Tianfu" Trade Exhibition, and the "Healthy Tianfu" Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience. It aims to introduce the development of the history, culture and economic societyin Sichuan, helping the Irish people better understand Sichuan and China.The event will forster friendship between two countries, promote friendly cooperation between Sichuan and Ireland, and support the sustainable and stable development of the mutually beneficial strategic partnership between China and Ireland.

In the "Impressions of Tianfu" Photo Exhibition,attendees lingered for a long time, deeply appreciating Sichuan's rich history, beautiful ecological environment, abundant tourism resources, and vibrant folk customs. Many guests took out their phones and cameras to capture the images on display.  Paul Murray, the President of the Irish Chinese Cultural Society, marveled that although he had  visited Sichuan many times, he had not fully appreciated its extensive tourism resources and the colorful ethnic cultures. And he will visit Sichuan more frequently in the future to encourage more Irish people to visit Sichuan and China.

In the "Goods of Tianfu" Trade Exhibition,Sichuan's green, Zang and black teas Sichuan's wine and liquor, Sichuan well-known medicine, Sichuan's intangible cultural product and Sichan's special snacks and candies have all attracted a large number of audiences. Mr. Yu Yongqiang, the vice Chairman of the Irish Fujian Business Association, pointed out that through the systematic display of Sichuan tea, Sichuan wine, Sichuan medicine and Sichuan intangible cultural heritage and characteristic products, the Irish people will have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding the development of Sichuan's economic society. The Irish Fujian Business Association will spare no effort to bridge economic cooperation and trade between Sichuan and Ireland.

In the "Healthy Tianfu" Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience area, two experts from the Affiliated Hospital the Chengdu University of TCM and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital shared the prevention and treatment of diabetes and skin diseases, and carried out on-site health consultations, sparing no effort to promote TCM into Belt and Road Initiative countries. The attendees eagerly engaged with the experts, seeking consultations and experiencing the wonders of TCM.  Fernanda Betti Solano, a member of Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association Ireland, said that Sichuan is a major province of TCM, and expressed his deep love for TCM and his willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, allowing more Irish people to experience the charm of TCM and to better protect human health.(By Fan Yiling)
