Following deliberations by the judging panel, the winners of the various categories at the 37th Galaxy Awards were announced at the event. The Best Novel award was left vacant this year. The Best Novella award was shared by Yang Wanqing, Wang Yanzhong and Grey Fox. A particular highlight was the young writer Hua Yanxin, who single-handedly swept the board by winning three major awards: Best Short Story, Best Short-to-Medium-Length Story and Best Newcomer.
The Awards Ceremony
On the day, the Sichuan science fiction industry projects showcased at the event shifted the focus from the works themselves to the broader industrial landscape. At the Sichuan Science Fiction Industry Project Promotion Session, presentations were given in turn on the science fiction lantern display at the 2027 Galaxy Science Fiction Convention, the youth edition of The Three-Body, the Cosmos Channel brand, the Emei Film Group's film "Chronicles of Doomsday Redemption," as well as the AIGC platform and the science fiction film "Star Remains: Awakening." Although these projects span different sectors, they share one common feature: science fiction is forging links with an ever-wider range of industries.
