On 10 September, a face-to-face symposium between the Chongzhou municipal government and enterprises, alongside the signing ceremony for the FDI project for the Chongliqiao High-End Camping Base, took place. Singapore-based E-Quick signed an investment agreement for the Chongliqiao High-End Camping Project with the Management Committee of the Jiezi Ancient Town Cluster Health and Wellness Tourism Resort in Chongzhou. Miao Xiaobo, Secretary of the Chongzhou Municipal Party Committee; Yang Zongyu, Deputy Mayor of Chongzhou; Jiang Aidong, Director of E-Quick; and Li Xiaoye, Project Manager at E-Quick, attended the signing ceremony.
At the symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on the upgrading of the cultural and tourism industry, the development of high-end camping business models, and measures to ensure project operations. Following this, the two sides formally signed an agreement.
This signing marks a strategic move by the company to make a cross-sector push into high-end cultural tourism and explore a new frontier in camping. The project will be located in the Wenjing Secret Realm Scenic Zone, rooted in the local cultural landscape of western Sichuan and integrating distinctive rural specialty products. It will feature camping accommodation units, outdoor sports experience areas, and supporting service facilities, while carrying out an ecological landscape improvement project for Linpan, the traditional wooded rural settlements of western Sichuan. The goal is to create a high-end camping destination that ranks No. 1 in Southwest China and among the top 5 nationwide.
This signing ceremony represents a concrete step towards Chongzhou's goal of establishing itself as a model zone for all-encompassing tourism, and serves as a vivid illustration of the vision to create a picturesque Chongzhou that is accessible year-round, offers scenic beauty in every season, and brims with the vibrancy of everyday life. Upon completion, the project will fill a gap in the high-end camping market in western Chengdu, revitalising the value and vitality of Wenjing's hidden natural landscapes through new business models, and further supporting Chongzhou's efforts to establish an all-encompassing tourism framework comprising "one corridor, four routes and nine clusters".
