On July 13th, the Zigong Salt Making Industry History Museum held the unveiling ceremony for the 'Little Salt Guide' IP image and the opening ceremony for the 2026 Junior Docent Program.

At the event, the 'Little Salt Guide' IP image was officially unveiled. The design deeply integrates Zigong's salt culture characteristics: the headpiece is shaped like well salt crystals, highlighting the cultural heritage of the Millennium Salt Capital; the summer sun hat reflects the tradition of annual summer recruitment; the cheek patterns are inspired by the caisson ceiling designs of the Xiqin Guild hall, incorporating ancient architectural elements into the image and bringing architectural beauty to life on children's faces; the raised little flag symbolizes the mission of guiding visitors to explore the history of well salt and spreading the cultural legacy of the Salt Capital. In the future, the 'Little Salt Guide' IP image will be widely used in various activities such as docent training, science outreach study tours, and volunteer outreach, bringing the millennium-old salt culture closer to young people.

Oath-taking Ceremony of the New 'Little Salt Guide' Junior Docents

At the same time, 20 new junior docents were presented with their exclusive 'Little Salt Guide' junior docent sashes at the ceremony. Over the summer, the museum will offer comprehensive and systematic training courses for the junior docents, covering multiple modules including professional knowledge of well salt culture, etiquette standards for guiding, language expression skills, and hands-on practice in the exhibition halls, creating a complete cycle from knowledge input to cultural output.

In 2025, the Zigong Salt Making Industry History Museum, in collaboration with the Academy of Chemical Engineering at Sichuan University of Science & Engineering, officially upgraded and renamed the junior docent team as the 'Little Salt Guide' Junior Docents. The release of this exclusive IP image has now given this young volunteer team a complete and distinctive cultural identity.
