The architectural design of the Zigong Dinosaur Museum's Dinosaur Site Hall is conceived on the motif of 'a heap of monoliths from the primeval age,' with its form based on massive rock shapes. From a distance, it resembles a giant 'rock grotto,' while from above, it appears as a recumbent dinosaur—achieving a seamless integration of architecture and natural landforms. This renovation, while preserving the iconic architectural image, implemented comprehensive structural reinforcement and functional enhancements throughout the facility. Work included specimen relocation, targeted site conservation, main structure reinforcement, metal roof replacement, exterior wall renovation, and the installation of energy-efficient photovoltaic equipment, laying a solid foundation for the long-term preservation of the dinosaur fossil site itself.

The fully upgraded exhibition system systematically presents the history of dinosaur discovery and excavation in Zigong, research and conservation achievements, academic value, and preservation practices. Through immersive spatial storytelling and multi-dimensional exhibit combinations, the exhibition not only recreates the scenes of life from hundreds of millions of years ago but also constructs a dinosaur world rich in both scientific depth and humanistic resonance, guiding visitors on a journey through time to experience the awe and timelessness of ancient life.
Moreover, a standout feature of this renovation is the comprehensive upgrade of the digital exhibition system. Zigong Dinosaur Museum's Dinosaur Site Hall integrates cutting-edge technologies such as glasses-free 3D, floor projection, MR mixed-reality interaction, transparent OLED sliding-screen displays, and laser projection, enabling dynamic reconstructions of dinosaur evolution and geological change scenarios. This breaks through the informational limitations of traditional static displays.
