Under the theme "Comprehensive Green Transition, Building a Beautiful China Together," Zigong City's World Environment Day 2026 main event took place at Huidong Park Square on June 2. In order to create a stunning Zigong, the event sought to inspire everyone to embrace eco-friendly manufacturing and lifestyles. It drew numerous residents and more than 180 representatives from diverse fields.
Zigong City's World Environment Day 2026 main event
A warm-up film and an interactive patrol by the AI robot "Yan Xiaohuan" marked the beginning of the event. A number of events, such as cultural performances, award ceremonies, project signings, and product debuts, took place after this.
Notably, the "Gong Green Loan," the country's first credit product dynamically connected to profound environmental regulation, was signed on the spot. The Bank of China Zigong Branch and three companies—Sichuan Yipin Food Co., Ltd., Sichuan Dongfang Longyuan Power Equipment Co., Ltd., and Zigong Jixin Technology Co., Ltd.—signed cooperation agreements to create a green finance mechanism in which "better environmental performance leads to more financial support and lower financing costs."
Distribution of Promotional Materials
Four functional exhibition zones were included in the event: green and low-carbon science teaching, environmental law promotion, environmental equipment displays, and AI environmental Q&A. People could get fully immersed in environmental knowledge by seeing environmental monitoring equipment up close, learning about environmental laws and regulations, and consulting on green finance and low-carbon policies that benefit the general public.
This major World Environment Day event provides a crucial platform for Zigong's ecological civilization to grow. Zigong will use this occasion as a springboard to improve government-business cooperation going forward, promote public involvement, keep combating pollution, and quicken the green transformation of its sectors.
