On the morning of May 16, the 2026 Walk and Run Event kicks off at the Jianshan Scenic Area in Ziliujing District, Zigong City. A cultural, sporting, and tourist feast that combines nature, sports, romance, and the vibrant atmosphere of daily life was opened by 2,026 walk and run enthusiasts from all over the world who came to experience nature with their footsteps.

The event had three categories to cater to various groups, like as families, couples, and professional runners, utilizing Jianshan's great ecological base. The route skillfully linked unique locations like the Jianshan Peach Blossom Loop Road, Hongxin Camping Park, and Lu Deming's former home, fusing lush forests, views of lakes, revolutionary culture, and rural residences into a single, uninterrupted scene.

The race began at 8:30 a.m. The event creatively established a reward system with a distinctive local flavor while also profoundly integrating rural elements. The top 18 finishers in the men's and women's divisions of the 13.14-kilometer challenge group were awarded awards. The runners-up and third-place winners received banquet gift baskets, while the victors each received a live sheep. Live bunnies and other rustic prizes were given to other top finishers.
