Recently, a technical achievement submitted by China Construction China West Construction Group Eighth (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. titled “A Testing Device for Repairing Waterproof and Water-Resistant Concrete Cracks”, was granted an invention patent by the National Intellectual Property Administration.
The patented device addresses the pain points of existing concrete crack repair evaluation methods —such as their complexity, susceptibility to environmental interference and insufficient testing accuracy—It innovatively designs a crack repair testing device capable of precisely quantifying impermeability performance. Through the coordinated action of an adjustable clamping structure, a constant-pressure water injection component and a calibrated water collection unit, it enables stable, intuitive and quantitative detection of water flow rates before and after crack repair. This allows for the accurate calculation of the reduction in water seepage, thereby providing an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of repair materials and processes. The device is simple to operate, provides reliable test results and is unaffected by external environmental factors. It offers standardised testing support for quality acceptance of engineering crack repairs and performance comparisons of waterproofing materials.
