On May 14, the Second Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor Industry Development Conference was held in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, with the subject “Connecting Bashu, Empowering Culture and Tourism, Embarking on a New Journey Together”. Visitors from government agencies, business associations, top cultural tourism companies, and financial institutions from Chongqing and Sichuan came together to discuss strategies for developing industrial clusters and jointly build a new plan for the integrated expansion of Bashu cultural tourism.

During the conference, the “Top Ten Achievements” in building the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor and the “Eight Major Plans” for 2026 were released. A series of signing ceremonies for Bashu cultural tourism industry cooperation were also held.

Promotional presentations of Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor routes and themed releases were part of the event. Highlights included “The Majestic Three Gorges of the Yangtze River: New Routes, New Experiences, New Ways to Enjoy”, “Release of the Sichuan-Chongqing Study Tour Group Standards System” and “Chongqing Cultural Tourism Farmstead – A New Benchmark for Rural Revitalization Led by State-Owned Enterprises” all of which received positive feedback from participants.

It is reported that the conference will be followed by two major events: the “First Bashu Cultural Tourism Industry Expo” and the “First Bashu Music Light and Shadow Art Season”. These will be accompanied by themed consumption scenarios including a Bashu specialty food market and a fine exhibition of Sichuan-Chongqing intangible cultural heritage and creative products.
During the conference, a number of innovative achievements and brand projects were announced, including the Sichuan-Chongqing Study Tour Group Standards System, the Bashu Music Light and Shadow Art Season, the Bashu Cultural Tourism Industry Expo, practical pathways for developing high-quality outdoor sports destinations in Bashu, and new routes and experiences for the magnificent Yangtze River's Three Gorges.
