On April 13, 2026, the Made in Italy Day-Chengdu Europe Industry Dialogue was held in Chengdu's Xinjin District. With the theme “Sustainable Development in the Agri-Food Industry” at its core, participants explored new avenues for industrial growth and increased international cooperation through in-depth talks and thorough resource matching.

During the event, the Chengdu Xinjin District Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China officially signed a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, the two sides will build a regularized structure for economic and trade engagement, expanding cooperation in areas such as information exchange, industrial matchmaking, business services, joint exposition hosting, and talent training. A main objective will be to facilitate focused alignment and deep collaboration between Xinjin's health food industry and Italian agri-food firms in areas such as technology introduction, brand co-creation, and market expansion. This signing represents the beginning of a more structured and long-term phase in cooperation between the Xinjin District Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, creating a firm foundation for Xinjin to become a regional hub for China-Italy agri-food industries.

Since the inception in 2021, the Chengdu-Europe Industrial Dialogue has become an important platform for Chengdu to aggregate European industrial resources and support China's high-level opening-up. The successful hosting of this event further facilitated cooperation channels between China and Italy, as well as other countries, in the agri-food sector. It enabled efficient matchmaking of technologies, projects, and market opportunities, fostering the integration of international resources with local industries. Through this event, Xinjin District has demonstrated its commitment to the development philosophy of “promoting industry through events and revitalizing the city through industry”, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality growth of its regional health food industry.
