The much-anticipated Chengdu Panda Ocean Park, the first immersive ocean park in Southwest China integrating the dual IPs of “Ancient Shu civilization + Marine world”, will begin trial operations on March 18th.

Located in the North Lake Ecological Park within the Chengdu Panda International Tourism Resort, the park was developed over two years by Fujian Longchuan Group, a benchmark enterprise in China's marine cultural tourism industry, introduced by the Panda Resort Management Committee. Shaped like a “Trumpet Triton”—the most renowned of the world's four great conch species—the park is China’s only large-scale comprehensive ocean park that combines modern marine ecology, the ancient Shu freshwater world, and an ancient marine research base. Covering an indoor area of over 26,000 square meters and surrounded by more than 40 acres of green space, it can accommodate over 30,000 visitors per day and is expected to receive more than 2 million visitors annually.

Marine Science Museum

The park is home to over 15,000 rare creatures, including more than 30 species under national first-class and second-class protection, such as giant salamanders, Siamese crocodiles, macaws, bearded dragons, raccoons, meerkats, and sea lions—a spectacular display of biodiversity.

It is reported that Chengdu Panda Ocean Park will officially open on May 1st, 2026.
