In the early spring, Anyue County in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province is witnessing positive momentum in foreign trade, with products including lemons and clean energy equipment expanding around the world. The region is achieving high-quality growth in foreign trade through a strategy of “upgrading traditional industries and setting new industries standards ”.

Anyue Lemons

Currently, Anyue County has established 65,000 mu of export-certified bases and maintains close cooperation with eight export ports. A “lemon fleet” composed of 31 export enterprises has enabled “Anyue Lemon” to become Sichuan’s first fresh fruit brand to exceed 100 million yuan in annual export value. The local authorities have collaborated with customs to optimize clearance procedures, achieving rapid inspection and certification to ensure efficient delivery of fresh fruit to more than 30 countries and regions.

Meanwhile, Anyue County’s clean energy equipment has successfully entered markets in countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Sichuan Zhongqi New Energy Equipment began exporting immediately after commencing production, with technical teams traveling overseas to support project operations. This high-end equipment “Made in Anyue” has gained international recognition.

In 2025, Anyue County’s total import and export volume reached 705 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2 percent. Among this, self-operated lemon exports amounted to 219 million yuan, growing by 23.2 percent and continuing to lead Sichuan’s fruit exports. Exports of footwear and apparel, as well as other fruits, increased by 132 percent and 87.8 percent respectively. New categories such as clean energy equipment contributed over 22 million yuan in additional export value, with exports to emerging markets doubling. A diversified foreign trade pattern is beginning to take shape.

Through service mechanisms, the local government is helping enterprises overcome challenges and unlock their potential. Anyue will continue to strengthen its export industries, cultivate local foreign trade entities and encourage enterprises to independently explore international markets, driving economic development through higher-level opening-up.
