On November 23, Dongpo District in Meishan City was filled with vibrant energy as the 2025 Mengniu Meishan Dongpo Marathon Run All Over Sichuan(Dongpo Station) officially began. Seventeen thousand competitors finished the race along key scenic spots including Dongpo Island and Taihe Park. They experienced the city’s beauty through their running and demonstrated their passion for the city.

In this marathon, there were many novices as well as many old hands who had completed all six previous editions of the race. The runners set off at a steady pace, encouraged each other and and eventually unleashed a burst of energy as they sprinted toward the finish line.

Along the course, crowds enjoyed cultural performances and dance shows. Volunteers enthusiastically handed out water and cheered loudly. This supportive and vibrant spirit added a unique layer of enjoyment to the sporting event.

At the finish line, the Dongpo Pantuo on the medals gleamed in the sunlight as runners raised them proudly for photos. The Dongpo food experience after the race also left a favourable impression on all participants.

The marathon was both a sports celebration and a chance to show the city’s charm. This culture-filled event is becoming a vivid representation of Meishan’s development as a “Fashionable Sports City”, attracting runners from across the country and spreading Dongpo culture farther with every stride.
