Highlights of the Exhibition
On November 13, the third event of the Jinjiang Art Season (Season 4)—the “Painting and Sculpture in Symbiosis” Jinjiang–Zhongjiang Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition—officially opened, bringing Chengdu audiences a visual feast that blends regional characteristics with innovative expression.
Highlights of the Exhibition
Jinjiang District embodies the pioneering spirit of urban innovation, while Zhongjiang County carries the genetic code of regional heritage. The two “Jiang” are not a geographical division, but rather a spiritual realm for the contemporary dialogue of Bashu culture. Centered on the theme of “Painting and Sculpture in Symbiosis,” the exhibition features 152 works by outstanding senior, mid-career, and young artists from both regions. From two-dimensional paintings to three-dimensional sculptures, from traditional ink art to avant-garde experiments, the artists express local identity through diverse forms and connect the cultural roots of both places through the language of art. The exhibition deepens cultural exchange and mutual learning between Jinjiang and Zhongjiang, while empowering the integrated development of the Chengdu–Deyang–Meishan–Ziyang metropolitan area through artistic vitality, writing a new chapter of cultural convergence in Bashu.
Highlights of the Exhibition
In the sculpture section, the combination of physical exhibits and conceptual displays allows visitors to immerse themselves in the symbiosis of art and space while glimpsing the future trends of sculpture. In the painting section, artworks are thoughtfully arranged to showcase both the vibrant urban imagery of Jinjiang and the profound historical and cultural narratives of Zhongjiang.
Highlights of the Exhibition
This exhibition aims to promote the integration of artistic forces from Jinjiang and Zhongjiang, building a bridge for dialogue through diverse artistic forms. Upholding the cultural philosophy of “Let each culture shine in its own way, and let beauty be shared by all,” it seeks to foster a more charming urban cultural atmosphere and advance the cultural and artistic development of both regions through cooperation and mutual enrichment.
