On November 1st, the 8th World Sichuan Cuisine Conference kicked off at the Leshan Giant Buddha Cultural Plaza in Sichuan Province. Over a thousand guests, including diplomats from more than 20 countries and regions, representatives from catering enterprises, industry experts, and renowned chefs, gathered in Leshan to celebrate this grand event.

During the conference, a proposal was made to designate November 1st as ‘World Sichuan Cuisine Conference Day,’ providing a significant platform for the global promotion of Sichuan cuisine culture. The opening ceremony also released several important achievements, including the ‘2025 Global Selection of Sichuan Cuisine Recommendation List,’ ‘Sichuan Snack Industry Development Report (2025),’ ‘2025 Sichuan Cuisine Industry Data Report,’ and ‘2025 Top Ten Global Keywords for Sichuan Cuisine.’ Additionally, a preliminary release of the group standard ‘Evaluation Standards for Sichuan Cuisine Restaurants’ was announced, along with the official unveiling of the ‘Leshan Cuisine Illustrated Guide’ and the first batch of Leshan's ‘Local Eateries’ list. The unveiling of the first U.S. flagship store of ‘Leshan Flavors’ in Chicago marked an accelerated entry of Leshan cuisine into the international market.

Meanwhile, the ‘Unilever Food Solutions Cup’ 2025 World Sichuan Cuisine Cooking Competition was held concurrently. More than 160 renowned chefs from 85 teams across the country competed in categories such as the designated hot dish ‘Douban Fish (Fish in Spicy Broad Bean Paste),’ creative dishes, and Sichuan-style snacks. The competition aimed to promote the culinary techniques of Sichuan cuisine, inspire chefs to innovate while preserving tradition, and advance the global reach of Sichuan flavors.

Through various professional activities and international exchanges, the 8th World Sichuan Cuisine Conference comprehensively showcased the profound heritage and industrial vitality of Sichuan cuisine culture.
