The "Miss Friendship International 2025 World Finals China Tour," a global youth cultural exchange activity, recently arrived in Jinjiang District, Chengdu. Contestants from over 40 countries and regions visited Jinjiang's consumer landmarks, feeling the city's pulse through the blend of blue bricks and grey tiles with trendy neon lights, and experiencing cultural warmth through the convergence of international brands and Ba-Shu characteristics, thus beginning a cross-border journey of fashion and cultural integration.

At the Event
At Chengdu's first downtown duty-free store, the beauties immersed themselves in the dual-track consumption scenario of "duty-free + tax-paid" shopping. They paused to participate in various fun mini-games, making scented sachets and gathering for tea tasting, with continuous laughter and joy filling the venue. "Every shop here is so interesting with abundant products and such considerate service. The shopping experience is wonderful for a foreign tourist like me," exclaimed Russia's Alina Farkhutdinova in delight.

At the Event
At the Jinguanyi Old Teahouse, the contestants learned to hold lidded tea bowls like locals - thumbs hooking the rim, index and middle fingers clamping the lid, gently skimming off floating leaves before taking a sip. The tea fragrance mixed with jasmine bloomed on their taste buds. After three rounds of tea, Sichuan quyi performances officially began. The contestants were mesmerized by the crisp rhythm of Jinqianban (Bamboo Clappers) and the melodious tunes of Qingyin (Sichuan Folk Singing), many nodding gently to the beat. When excitement peaked, they took to the stage singing joyfully, their happy voices echoing through the old teahouse.
The feast for taste buds proved equally splendid. Authentic Sichuan cuisine made spice-loving contestants exclaim in satisfaction - the fresh aroma of Mapo Tofu and rich depth of Twice-Cooked Pork each representing ultimate expressions of Ba-Shu flavor. Local snacks left everyone dazzled: the crispy sweetness of Sugar-Oil Fruits, soft stickiness of Panda Pastries, and numbing-spicy freshness of Zhong Dumplings made it impossible to stop at just one bite. A Lao contestant, tasting dumplings completely different from her homeland's version, exclaimed joyfully: "Chengdu's dumplings with chili create an astonishing flavor, a culinary culture I've never experienced before." She added: "Chengdu has beautiful scenery, enticing food, and adorable pandas. I hope to study in Chengdu, Sichuan someday to deeply understand the city's culture and vibrant atmosphere."
Cultural integration has always been a surprise-filled mutual journey. These Jinjiang memories, carrying tea fragrance, contemporary trends, and people’s hospitality, will ultimately follow the contestants' footsteps to spread Chengdu's charm to every corner of the world, allowing the flowers of friendship to bloom quietly through cultural exchange.
