On October 18th , the 23rd Sichuan Guangwushan International Red Leaf Festival - "Guests from Afar & AI Enriches Guangwushan Red" Technology Carnival kicked off at Micang Mountain Scenic Area in Nanjiang County, Bazhong City. Breaking away from the traditional way of appreciating red-leaf, this year's festival innovatively introduced technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics, creating a unique tech-focused event.
At the Event
The opening ceremony featured robots hosting certain segments, marking the first highlight. This was followed by a lively robotic solo performance of the Charleston dance, titled "Guangwushan Red," captivated the audience with its lively and dynamic moves, earning rounds of applause. The most eye-catching segment was the "Human-machine Collaboration" performance of the national-level intangible cultural heritage, "Fanshan Jiaozi." Dancers shared the stage with multiple robots, seamlessly blending traditional art with modern technology and vividly showcasing the innovative vitality of cultural and tourism integration.

According to the organizer, the technology carnival will run until October 29th. In addition to cultural performances, the scenic area has set up an interactive experience zone featuring five main activities: robot combat, soccer matches, board game competitions, interactive photo opportunities, and Kung Fu tea performances. Visitors can collect stamps by participating in these interactions and exchange them for limited-edition special gifts.

The red leaves of Guangwushan Mountain are an iconic attraction for Bazhong's tourism industry. The introduction of the technology carnival aims to enhance the visitor experience and diversify tourism offerings, thus to further unleash consumption potential and stimulate local economic development through the integration of "Technology + Culture and tourism."
