On September 9, an on-site promotion event for the Sanxingdui Cultural Tourism Development Zone construction project was held, marking the official commencement of this major cultural tourism initiative. The project will leverage the cultural resources of Sanxingdui, utilizing distinctive architectural scenes and immersive cultural experiences to create a tourism and vacation destination that captivates China and astonishes the world. It will form a tripartite synergy with the Sanxingdui Site Park and the Sanxingdui Museum, collectively forging a globally influential symbol of Chinese culture.

The project is located east of the Sanxingdui Museum and west of Tianfu Avenue. It covers a planned area of 815 mu (approximately 54.3 hectares) with a total construction area of 160,000 square meters. The project will be developed in two phases. The first phase includes a 115-mu (approximately 7.7 hectares) resort hotel and a 165-mu (approximately 11 hectares) demonstration section of the scenic area, scheduled for completion and operation by July 2026. The second phase, covering 535 mu (approximately 35.7 hectares), is set to be completed and operational by the Spring Festival of 2028. Through innovative formats such as living performance venue clusters, immersive performances, and digital interactive experiences, the project aims to make Sanxingdui a spiritual home that is "perceivable, tangible, and resonant".

The Sanxingdui Cultural Tourism Development Zone project will focus on building a diversified "culture + tourism + commerce + N" industrial system. Its offerings will include a main tourist service center, a distribution square, an art park, immersive performance theaters and halls, experiential cultural relic activation venue clusters, themed commercial streets, themed inns, and comprehensive resort hotels. Through the integration of hotel accommodations, large-scale performances, themed tours, specialty commerce, and digital cultural creativity, the project will comprehensively create new immersive and experiential cultural tourism consumption scenarios. Upon full completion, it will become a world-class Oriental classic cultural tourism destination integrating cultural experiences, leisure vacations, and trade exhibitions. This will further polish the "golden brand" of Sanxingdui, making it an important window vividly showcasing the diverse yet integrated structure of Chinese civilization.（By Ma Lulu）
