Recently, the “China (Chengdu) Film Excellence Support Plan & Chengdu Hi-Tech Xiling Sci-Tech Park Digital Film-Tourism Industry Promotion Conference” was held in Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. At the event, Dayi County unveiled its inaugural Filming Location Recommendation List, while the “hina (Chengdu) Film Excellence Promotion and Support Program” was also launched. Together, these initiatives are expected to accelerate the emergence of high-quality, “Chengdu-made” blockbuster film and television productions. The partnership between Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone and Dayi County marks a solid step forward in fostering integrated development across culture, business, tourism, and sports.

Event Highlights

The Dayi County Filming Locations List consolidates the region’s landmark cultural and tourism resources—including Anren Ancient Town, Xiling Snow Mountain, Xinchang Ancient Town, Hemingshan Taoist Mountain, and the Sichuan Film & TV Cultural Hub—alongside modern film production bases. The list aims to provide filmmakers with a “one-stop” guide to diverse shooting sites. According to officials, Dayi County will roll out a series of supportive policies for the digital film and cultural tourism industry. These will cover industrial park operations, major event hosting, film and television awards, museum-related industries, and cultural and creative products. Backed by “substantial financial incentives,” these measures are designed to unlock new momentum for the industry’s growth.

As a co-built industrial park under the joint development framework of Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone and Dayi County, the Chengdu Hi-Tech Xiling Sci-Tech Park will offer a comprehensive service system to enterprises and projects. The six pillars of support include: innovation platforms, intermediary services, industrial funds, policy sharing, a business-friendly environment, and infrastructure facilities. Together, they are expected to provide full-spectrum assistance for industry players.

Going forward, Chengdu Hi-Tech Xiling Sci-Tech Park will continue to nurture premium projects through the China (Chengdu) Film Excellence Promotion and Support Program. The goal is to bring forth more blockbuster film and television works with strong “Chengdu-made” branding, while shaping a new paradigm for cultural tourism that is distinctly driven by the film industry.
