Zigong Unveils World’s First “AoQin” Firefighting UAV

On July 22, the signing ceremony for major low-altitude economy projects in the third quarter of 2025, along with the investment and financing roadshow and Weihang Technology’s global product launch, was held at Fengming Airport in Zigong Aviation Industrial Park. At the same time, the “Sci-Tech Innovation Conference · Zigong Tour” low-altitude economy investment and financing roadshow also took place. The highlight of the event was the official debut of the world’s first “Ducted Fan High-Altitude Tethered Firefighting UAV System – AoQin”, showcasing Zigong’s innovative breakthroughs in the low-altitude economy sector.

According to reports, “AoQin” has set several national firsts: it is the first domestically certified tethered power-supply firefighting UAV, the first certified ducted fan firefighting UAV, and the first certified heavy-load firefighting UAV in China. As the centerpiece of this product launch, the AoQin UAV system has attracted significant attention for its outstanding performance and targeted application scenarios. The system boasts several leading specifications: a lift height of 100 meters, a lift speed of ≥2 meters per second, a continuous liquid spray rate of 20–30 liters per second, an outlet spray pressure of 0.7 MPa, and an effective spray distance of ≥45 meters. It is applicable to firefighting in urban high-rise buildings, offshore platforms, and forest and grassland areas, significantly enhancing the efficiency of emergency response and fire rescue operations.

In terms of safety and intelligence, its advantages are particularly outstanding: the ducted body structure provides effective protection for core components, while ample thrust margin of the propulsion unit and onboard power supply ensure safe emergency landings in unexpected situations. The three independent flight control systems support autonomous decision-making, and when combined with multi-sensor autonomous fire recognition capabilities, enable active intelligent decision-making for firefighting tactics. It also supports multi-drone collaborative operations, offering a groundbreaking solution for fire and emergency rescue missions. It is reported that the system will soon transition from the research and development phase to mass production and sales, with deployment expected by the end of the year, becoming an "aerial guardian" for protecting people's lives and property.

The concurrent project signing and investment financing roadshow events yielded fruitful results. The signing ceremony for major low-altitude economy projects in the third quarter secured eight projects with a total investment of 2.68 billion yuan, covering areas such as complete drone manufacturing, core components for aero engines, avionics system equipment manufacturing, and drone countermeasures and testing. Additionally, the "Sci-Tech Innovation Conference · Zigong Tour" event saw the signing of 15 cooperative projects, with a technology transaction volume of 23.27 million yuan, injecting momentum into the low-altitude economy industrial ecosystem.
