The forum comprises keynote speeches, leadership meetings, international case studies, and field visits to World Heritage sites, alongside its opening ceremony. It serves to enhance global cooperation networks and functions as a platform for discussions on sustainable utilization of World Heritage sites and Multi-Internationally Designated Areas (MIDAS).

During the event, the delegation was invited to deliver a keynote speech on the theme of “Promoting the Sustainable Utilization of Mount Emei's World Cultural and Natural Heritage through New Development Concepts.”The presentation highlighted the recent measures and achievements of Mount Emei Scenic Area in heritage protection, inheritance, and utilization, while also providing a comprehensive promotion of Leshan's cultural and tourism resources.

Thanks to its geographical advantages and cultural appeal, South Korea has long been a key overseas market for Leshan. The two sides have maintained friendly exchanges and close cooperation in culture, trade, and tourism, yielding remarkable results. In 2024, Leshan hosted 1,420 South Korean overnight tourists, marking a 35.37% year-on-year increase. In 2025, Mount Emei Scenic Area further strengthened ties by establishing a sisterhood relationship with South Korea's Hallasan National Park in Jeju Province. (By Wang Zihan, Jiang Zhuolin)
