On April 7, Zigong initiated the Talent Innovation Development Conference and the 8th Yandu Talent Month event under the theme “Gathering Talents in Salt Capital, Leading the Future through Innovation.” The ceremony saw the appointment of 11 high-end talent consultants and 5 investment promotion ambassadors for Zigong City. Recognition was also given to innovation teams and leading talents under the 2025 Salt Capital Hundred-Thousand Talent Program, along with the awarding of licenses and honorary certificates to Zigong’s 12th batch of academician (expert) workstations.

During the co-signing ceremony, 4 city-university-enterprise cooperation agreements, 8 chamber of commerce agreements, and 8 project platform agreements were finalized, totaling approximately 3.6 billion yuan in investment. These projects aim to deepen the integration of talent networks with innovation and industrial chains, removing the last crucial hurdle in the process of transforming scientific and technological achievements.

In recent years, Zigong has actively integrated into Sichuan Province’s “geese flying formation” talent development strategy, upgraded its Ten Measures for Building a Talent-Strong City, established high-standard pilot bases for scientific achievement transformation in southern Sichuan and western Chongqing, and refined diversified investment mechanisms involving government, employers, and society. The city is committed to creating a leading talent hub in southern Sichuan and western Chongqing.
