On November 6, the Major Achievements of Sichuan Science and Technology Plan Release Conference and the Central Major Institutes and Research Institutions in Sichuan Results Transformation Matchmaking Conference were held in Mianyang.

It is reported that this conference, themed "Deep Integration of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation," has four key characteristics.

Emphasizing the stimulation of vitality through deepened reforms, Sichuan Province has, in recent years, advanced reforms in the management of its science and technology programs, continually enhancing the administration of provincial fiscal research funds. These efforts have been well received by research institutions and personnel, greatly fostering a spirit of innovation and creativity in scientific research. As a result, a substantial number of critical core technologies have been achieved, and a range of flagship innovative products has been developed. These technological advancements, which are at the forefront of their fields and have broad application prospects, are expected to significantly drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries as well as bolster the growth of emerging and future industries.

Highlighting the implementation and transformation of major achievements from central institutions located in Sichuan, the province has carried out the "Juyuan Xingchuan" （allocate resources to revitalize Sichuan）Initiative for three consecutive years, effectively promoting the implementation of over 70 major innovative achievements in Sichuan. This initiative has spurred the growth of strategic emerging industry clusters, such as artificial intelligence and nuclear technology applications, providing robust momentum for sustained economic recovery and growth. At this conference, three major central institutions based in Sichuan—the China Academy of Engineering Physics, the Southwest Institute of Physics of China National Nuclear Corporation, and the Southwest Research Institute of China Architecture Design & Research Group—presented their latest innovations.

Highlighting integrated innovation among production, education, and research. The conference aligns with the implementation of six major scientific and technological projects—artificial intelligence, aerospace, advanced equipment, biomanufacturing, clean energy, and advanced materials. It supports leading tech-driven enterprises in spearheading the formation of high-level innovation consortia. Three innovation consortia focused on hydrogen energy, vanadium-titanium industry, and biopolymer drugs unveiled major technological achievements across their respective industry chains.

Signing Ceremony

Emphasizing diversified investment in technological innovation. Over 50 venture capital firms, banks, and other financial institutions attended the conference. The Western Science and Technology Innovation Investment Alliance presented key investment focuses and areas of interest for its member organizations. A live signing ceremony for technology enterprise financing took place, and nine high-quality projects in fields such as artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing were showcased through pitch presentations.（by Qin Kang）
