On October 29，A Date with Xuyong—the Silk Road Youth Study Tour in Xuyong was officially launched in Xuyong County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. international students from Sichuan University, hailing from Russia, Colombia, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, and Belarus, will embark on a three-day immersive and sweet "date" in Xuyong County, Luzhou City.

In his speech, Yuan Tao extended a warm welcome to the young international students participating in the Silk Road Youth Study Tour in Xuyong. He highlighted that Xuyong, known as "China’s Natural Oxygen Bar" and "China's Climate-Friendly City," combines scenic features of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou, making it an ideal destination for leisure and wellness. He expressed hope that through this study tour, participants would experience the unique charm of "The Wellness Bamboo Township, Picturesque Xuyong."

Liu Tinglin, a practical mentor at the Overseas Education College of Sichuan University, shared his excitement, saying, "It's my first time visiting Xuyong, but I've heard a lot about it before. A few years ago, I watched a culinary program on CCTV, which mentioned that many chefs working in the UK are from Xuyong. That left a deep and lasting impression on me." He added, "I’m very much looking forward to the upcoming activities, where I can join the students in admiring Xuyong's beautiful scenery, tasting its delicious cuisine, experiencing its intangible cultural heritage, and discovering even more of this wonderful city."

Mary, an international student from Bulgaria at Sichuan University, shared, "Although I haven't been in China for long, it has far exceeded my expectations, and Sichuan now feels like my second home. Sichuan not only has beautiful landscapes, but its people are also incredibly warm and friendly." She added, "I believe that here in Xuyong, the homeland of green forests and ancient culture, we're going to have an unforgettable experience."

In the upcoming tour，the international students will visit Xuyong's unique architecture, taste its local delicacies, and engage in hands-on experiences, creating an unforgettable "encounter" with Xuyong.
