Farmers shuttle through orchards with bamboo baskets, trucks loaded with fresh fruits move endlessly along village roads, and curious tourists carefully select loquats at local markets - together sketching a vibrant rural revitalization scene where thriving industries blend agriculture, culture and tourism.

As the acclaimed Hometown of Chinese Loquats, Wengong Town boasts over a century of loquat cultivation history. In 2010, Wengong Loquat obtained Agro-product Geographical Indication from Ministry of Agriculture of the P.R.C. Thanks to the favorable climate and fertile soil, the locally cultivated loquats feature their large size, fleshy pulp, vibrant color, and a perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness. After developing for many years, Wengong Town has become the largest loquat production base in the southwestern area.

In recent years, Wengong Town has developed its loquat industry in a standardized, large-scale, branded, and industrialized way through expanding production, improving quality, integrating, and innovating.
