The 2025 Dujiangyan Water Release Festival, themed “Heavenly Waters Nourish the Land of Abundance”, blended modern interpretations with ancient rituals, recreating historical practices like weir construction, river diversion, and ceremonial water release.
Meanwhile, the 271st Yuantong Qingming Spring Fair—a Sichuan Intangible Cultural Heritage event—captivated crowds with traditions such as the “Golden Ox Spring Blessing Parade”, Huijiang Ancient Loong Procession, and molten-iron firework displays, reviving the essence of West Sichuan’s agrarian culture.
