A visual feast, known as the 31st Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival is going to kick off in Zigong, Sichuan. The gala themed as "Lights Celebrate China, with Diverse Phenomena", will brilliantly open on the eve of the Chinese New Year. This year's festival will feature 12 sets of super-large lanterns, 7 sets of large lanterns, and over 200 sets of medium and small lanterns, showcasing the various landscapes of China and providing visitors with a dreamlike New Year experience.

Seven thematic areas are created meticulously in this festival: "Welcoming Spring and Celebrating the New Year", "Jurassic Valley", "Fairyland", "Joyous Celebration", "Zigong Year Wheel", "Civilization Interaction" and "Path of Flowers," culminating in an artistic extravaganza. Highlights include a 55-meter giant gate inspired by one of Zigong's three lesser specialties—paper-cutting art, a lantern set "Abundant Harvest" combining colored lights and glass medicine bottles, a 9-meter-high lantern group of God of Wealth, and a 220-meter-long lantern display of "Glorious China".

A special highlight of this year's festival is the giant white and green snake lanterns based on "Legend of the White Snake," celebrating the Lunar Year of the Snake. Tourists will feel as though they have stepped into a world full of fantasy and romance.

To offer visitors new and innovative experiences this year, the festival not only strives for excellence in the art of lanterns but also focuses on four upgrading key aspects: technological methods, lantern themes, aesthetic atmosphere and business models. Utilizing the natural valley terrain of the park, the festival ingeniously integrates Zigong's signature simulated dinosaurs, colored lanterns, and cutting-edge AI technology, recreating a prehistoric Jurassic dinosaur valley, while providing interactive experiences with advanced technology.

To enhance the visitors' experience, the festival has comprehensively upgraded its operational services and traffic planning. Optimized traffic layouts and a variety of nighttime activities will provide more convenient access and more entertainment options for visitors.
