Takin is only found in China, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar, and is divided into four subspecies: Gaoligong takin, Bhutan takin, Sichuan takin and Qinling takin. The number of takins is rare, with only a few thousand left in China, which is a key protected animal at the national level.
The Chongzhou area of the Giant Panda National Park covers an area of 280 square kilometer, and it is a beautiful home for rare wildlife such as giant pandas, snow leopards, Sichuan takins, Sichuan golden monkeys, and Chinese monals. In recent years, the Chongzhou Conservation Station of the Giant Panda National Park has timely and effectively grasped the status of wild animal and plant resources in the area through various means, eliminated human interference, and protected biodiversity.
